Here are the details for the mobile web page CMS feature...
First I think it makes sense to do a very basic version so you can get it done before Monday if possible.
So to start with here's what I think we could do to get a very basic version done quicker (by Monday hopefully)...
- First let's skip a navigation bar for now. Each mobile web page would kind of standalone and not be linked to anything else or have a footer or header area.
- Second if it is easy to do let's give users a very basic wysiwyg editor so they can add text, pictures, and content to their web page. If the wysiwyg editor is hard to add this fast maybe we could just do a text area that users add text too and then a separate area for them to upload their pictures kind of like [url removed, login to view] does in the part of the user account shown in this picture: [url removed, login to view]
- Third you need to find a way to have the pictures users upload to the wysiwyg editor area (or to the picture upload area if we do it that way) automatically resized so they fix on the mobile website and aren't the original size so it takes forever to upload them to a mobile phone.
- Fourth my last programmer has this feature where I can copy the contents and settings that I have setup in one user account to another (you can find the page I am talking about here: [url removed, login to view] . I would like to set it up so that I can copy the website contents over to another user account too. The main reason being is I plan on setting up a few default web pages for users and copying them into new users account when they sign up. I'm not sure how my last programmer did this but I can give you his email address if you want so you can ask him questions about this if you need to.
That's it for the basic feature. After you are done with this I would like to go over a more advance mobile website feature and improve it.
Let me know what you think, if you have questions, and give me a quote.
