I have an existing script that I could use a few minor revisions on.
This script involves online registrations for classes. It utilizes MySQL to store information about available classes.
This script contains the following fields: class type, starting seats, seats remaining, class time, class date, class location, class cost. The script displays schedules of various classes, and works the customer through a registration process. The script them directs them to PayPal for payment.
The first modification is to do some minor clean up work to the screen dump that is presented when a potential customer lists class dates. There are a couple things that don't need to be listed. Namely the class ID and the starting seats.
The second issue is to make it display a little more friendly. I would like the current 24 hour time display in HH:MM:SS to be a typical 12 hour HH:MM display with AM/PM.
I would also like to adjust the date display from yyyy-mm-dd to a readout of the text month and day, ie "Wednesday, April 4". Accomplishing some of these tasks through a database revision to change the type of the field is certainly acceptable. I do not anticipate any other applications will need to access them.
Another revision that I hope is minor: There is one class I teach that can be broken down into two different classes and taken seperately. I would like to figure out some way to list them seperately, yet combine them for payment at a lesser rate and registration purposes and deduct the number of seats available from both seperate classes. While I hope I have explained adequately, feel free to PM if not and I will explain more and provide links... Thanks!
