I have a website where people can sign up for a report. I collect the email address in a MySQL database. 3 follow up emails are sent out, 3day, 7days and 14 days after the user signs-up. The follow up emails have been created and can be edited using TinyMCE, however it has not been set-up with full functionality.
I would like a system added to my autoresponder so I can create newsletters that can be sent out to all the users in the database. I would go on to the system and:-
1, Create a new newsletter (maybe using a old one as a template)
2, Save it
3, Send it to a test email
4, Edit it if needed
5, Send it to all the users in the database.
There must be list of all the newsletters that have been sent out and when they were sent. (date and time)
The person that is using the system has asked for a really good WYSIWYG editor to create the newsletters. I use TinyMCE to edit the 3 follow up emails but it has not been set-up with full functionality. I like TinyMCE but I would like to know if you think there is a better one. It must be able to add images.
There must be a way so that users can unsubscribe to the newsletters. This must not remove the user from the DB but just deactivate the user. I would also like this added to the 3 follow up emails.
I then would like to use the same WYSIWYG editor, that you install, to edit the 3 follow up emails.
We receive email addresses from responses to printed ads and need to insert this info in to the DB. This would just be so they get the newsletters and not the 3 follow up emails. A distinction would need to be made in the DB as to where the contact has come from (eg, web or print).
My autoresponder system shows a list of the users. You would need to add the "print or net" and "active/ unsubscribe" fields to this table.
My autoresponder has a very simple GUI but I would like to keep this, so your new pages would need to follow the same layout.
I have hand written the autoresponders code. I have kept the code simple and clean so would be easy for you to see what is going on.
You will not need to do anything to the front-end where users sign-up.
Please ask if you need any info.
