we have downloaded the PDF Toolkit for Unix which is a toolkit that allows you to build a PDF file on-the-fly from other PDF's stored on your server. We want to use this feature to aggregate a single PDF from a folder of PDF files by allowing a website visitor to select the PDF's they want to include in the final, aggregated version.
process: the website visitor would click the "build a brochure" link on our web page which would open a layer that contained a series of checkboxes (typically 6-10). next to each checkbox would be the name of a home that the visitor would want information on. in addition, we will have two boxes that need to be permanently checked for a "features" PDF and a "directions" PDF. Once they have selected the homes they want, the script should compile each home, the "features" and "directions" PDF's into one file and output it in a separate browser window.
there needs to be a back-end that allows us to upload each PDF and give it a title and corresponding community, this way when we pull up the community on the website the script only shows the PDF files associated with that community in the list for the visitor to check off.
