This is basically a problem with sessions. I have 2 forms. The form on the PRE-REGISTRATION PAGE is supposed to carry to the REGISTRATION PAGE. It does, except, the REGISTRATION PAGE is supposed to be filled out AND validated. This is where I'm losing SESSION information from the PRE-REGISTRATION PAGE. More details provided below. I am also online if you have questions. Demo appreciated.
This is what needs to be accomplished:
1. PRE-REGISTRATION PAGE
On the pre-registration page, the user will enter a reference's email, first name, and last name. After clicking the submit button on the pre-registration page, the user will be sent to the real registration page.
2. REGISTRATION PAGE
Once on the registration page, the user must fill out information about himself, such as first name, last name, etc. They must also register a username and password.
Once the user clicks the submit button on this registration page, you must check against the database to make sure that the username does not exist. You must also make sure that the fields like first name and last name are filled out and that the passwords match. The error messages must 1-be written to the page with the form, not in a dialogue box, and 2-the errors must all appear at the same time. For instance, if someone submits the form and they forgot to fill out the username field and the passwords don't match, they should receive the errors together, not separately.
After checking that the username does not exist AND there are no errors, you need to redirect the user to a THIRD page that will still carry the information from the pre-registration page and the registration page. I can take it from there. It's very important that I'm able to use the information on the THIRD, especially to insert it into a database. That is exactly the problem that I'm having now. I already have this information on both pages, but am just having a problem getting the information to stay on the registration page once the user submits something from the registration page. Even though I already have a semi-working form, please just create one from scratch.
The budget is low, but the winner will receive a 10 review and good feedback. Plus, I will be looking for more Programmers within the next week-so I will pretty much hand you another project IF you can do the work. One of the projects is setting up PayPal IPN and giving me some help with PayPal. Another-maybe they will be combined projects-is for help with setting up Authorize.net. I have more projects, too-mainly for design work. So, please keep bids low and I will keep you in mind. This must be done ASAP, no later than today.
Regarding the demo, I'd like to install/test on my own server then pay. But, if you are not comfortable with that, I will need a demo on your server. You will have to set your demo up so that once I fill out the REGISTRATION PAGE, it does everything that I requested, and once it verifies that the username does not exist and that there are no errors, a message stating 'username does not exist and there are no errors. you can continue' should appear.
