Consume php soap web services in a vb.net 2008 web project using .net web service proxy

I have an existing visual studio 2008 (vb.net) web application & it needs a new simple function which adds data to a website via a clients php soap web service through the visual [login to view URL] web service proxy (add web reference) . In a nutshell the function basically posts a request with parameters & receives a response back & parses the response so the data can be processed elsewhere in the project. Before the function can post the request & receive the response header authentication is required. I have actually written what I think is the code for the authentication but am unable to test it as I've not got the web service code working. What I've done which just needs expanding is: In an existing .net web project I have added a web Reference to the clients php soap service named articleService at the following location: [login to view URL] Everything appears to be fine. I can view the article service in the object browser. The first thing needed in the function is to add header username & password authentication, I have coded the following: [code]Dim articleService3 As [login to view URL] = New [login to view URL]() Dim myCredentials As New [login to view URL] Dim myNetCred As New NetworkCredential("****", "****") [login to view URL](New Uri("[login to view URL]"), "Basic", myNetCred) '[login to view URL] = False ??? [login to view URL] = True [login to view URL] = myCredentials [/code] I will supply the username & password needed for authentication when the project is awarded. The next thing needed in the function is to add an article via the articleService function createOwnArticle This has a Parameter of CreateOwnArticleRequest and returns CreateOwnArticleResponse This should be a function that is called from a command button & passes in hard coded values in to the function & returns the relevant data from CreateOwnArticleResponse into a textbox so I can take the function & do what I need with it elsewhere in the web project. That's exactly what's needed. It should be simple for anyone who knows how. This project is really urgent - to be completed asap.
