We wasted our resources on a programmer that failed us, so we’re on a very tight budget on this one. We’re looking to complete this project under $400, although the lower bids may appeal to us more—so keep this in mind.
We need a clone of Alienware’s purchasing section (starts @ [url removed, login to view];SubCode=SKU-EXTREME and ends after the customer submits his/her order). We would need strong back-end web administration to add/modify/delete/etc products, its information, & its categories.
Looking at Alienware, you’d also notice that it asks its customers to have an account with them to complete their orders. Afterward, when customers need information about their accounts (e.g. regarding customer information, knowledge base, driver updates, etc), they can simply log into their accounts through a password-protected page. We’d like this type of password-login section & its features to be integrated into our website. Please note that customers aren’t buying the same products, so we would need to provide specific information to individuals buying certain products.
To ease your workload, you can simply use osCommerce ([url removed, login to view]) as the shopping cart.
By the way, the password-protected pages would have strong back-end web administration as well. :)
Please make a note of the budget change. This is my first time on this board, so I didn't see a budget selector. The actual budget is $400 and below because thi s seems more complex than what the budget ($20-100) says. Please make a note of your new price when you're posting.
Also, here's more information regarding the password-protected page, where I say "Please note that customers aren’t buying the same products, so we would need...": That means since individuals buy different types of computers (e.g. Dell customers buy the Dimension 8300, Dimension 2400, or a Laptop), we would need custom pages for individuals. For example, if a customer buys a Dell 8300, once he/she logs in to his/her password-protected page, there would be a "your products" page for 8300 with its information (e.g. user guide, faq, etc).
