I would like a script developed that can automatically generate a series of podcasts based on a configuration file. The actual scripting language doesn't matter, as long as it can run on either a windows, linux or Mac OS.
For example, I would create a configuration file and define the ID3 tags, the filename, etc for each episode of the podcast. I would prepare snippets of audio and save them as MP3 files in the filesystem. The script would then build up the podcast episodes out of a series of pieces.
[url removed, login to view] + [url removed, login to view] + [url removed, login to view] + [url removed, login to view] + [url removed, login to view]
This would generate a single mp3 podcast with all of the pieces concatenated together. No actual audio processing is necessary.
I would also like the script to generate an XML file for the RSS feed that people will use to subscribe to the podcast. This would supply the Episode title, link, filesize, duration, etc.
This will be for my use only, so it doesn't need to have any kind of GUI or interface. I should just run as a script from the command line. If I want to make changes, I would just edit the configuration file and run the script again.
