We have pipe-delimited syslogs of our system activity. Basically we get logs when people connect or disconnect to our system from the Internet.
We want a high resolution large world map we can display on a 60" screen, with realtime high-quality graphics showing connections like an airline route map. We want something that will easily let us see where most of our current users are connected from via green connection lines, and show red lines for users that are disconnected. The logic will need to be able to aggregate users from an area into wide connection lines and highlight areas with sudden user disconnections. Again, remember we have logs to indicate any user disconnection. We will purchase a database like [url removed, login to view] for use in this project, it will have to be able to retrieve the monthly database updates. This must be web based and require authentication. Authentication must have different permissions - some users will only be able to view connections on their display while others will be permitted to see both connections and disconnections.
You must have experience developing mapping applications and using and ip2location-type database. We expect screenshots of existing mapping work with bids.
