I have Linux-based web site which from time to time is attacked in one or the other way, causing traffic jam, bringing the server down.
First time, some time back, there was mail bounced back at my server. Tens of thousands at one single time.
Second time, a few scripts were run outside my web pages they were intended for, they appear to be run by web pages uploaded to two new folders, all done by a hacker.
Now, it appears that certain scripts (Perl and PHP), like search engines, are abused. Perhaps it is that they are called for constantly, thereby causing overload? I don't know.
What I need is the following:
1. Secure my web site against break-in.
2. Secure all scripts from traffic jam.
3. Improve general security.
Only skilled security wizards will be considered for this job. I have had two guys before, both doing valuable work for me, but I need to bring the efforts up one level.
ALSO: I need to know the country you work in, time difference. I am in Europe, and don't like to work at nights!
