NYC based startup seeks an experienced coder for a combined statusboard and database for the purpose of measuring and analyzing the performance of YouTube videos.
We have mockups of what we want the front end to look like (it's similar to a Geckoboard or Leftronic type setup), but require someone to build the tool and put our designs into action.
From a statusboard perspective, this includes individual logins (so different employees can track different metrics on their status board), a drag and drop user interface for individualized tracking, and the ability to add and track multiple channels and videos by the half hour.
On the database side, we need to be able to pull out reports and welcome your recommendations on if you think we can come up with a solution that's easier than regular .csv files.
To start, we need to be able to scale to about 50 YouTube channels and 5 - 10 users. If the project goes well and if we plan on scaling further, we would love to look to you for future work.
We prefer that the project is built in Python but beyond that we welcome your recommendations. The candidate must be able to work with the YouTube API, as well as implement pieces of the Facebook and Twitter APIs (for some basic tracking on how the videos perform on social channels).
If interested, please contact me with a note of interest along with a portfolio, links to your work, and/or resume. Candidates who can offer some insight as to what they would use to build the tool, indicating that they have read and understand the requirements of the project, will receive special consideration. Thanks.
