I need a basic script built and installed on my server that allows me to upload video clips or other files to be viewed on a page.
This will consist of an admin panel.. and a page to view them.
The video page will be called. /[url removed, login to view]
the admin will be called /vidadmin/
No need to password protect the admin panel folder. I can do that on the server.
The admin will have 4 buttons: Add a file, edit a file, delete a file, and view files.. (view files will just link to the [url removed, login to view] page)
The add and edit pages in the admin will the following fields.
*File title (text field)
*Description (text box for paragraphs)
*Image thumbnail (browse box to upload a jpg or gif image) This is to upload an image not to remote link to one!
*File ( browse box to upload files from the computer again this is not remote linking.)
The file upload will allow them to upload any kind of file, .txt, video files, pdfs or anything else they wish..
The Image thumbnail should be compressed and resized to fit. . This is so it loads quickly. Yes GD is installed on the server for image compression. gif, GIF, jpg, jpeg, JPG, JPEG, files should work with this.
When the item is added it uploads the file and the image thumbnail. When and item is deleted for the admin, it's files (the image and the file) must be physically deleted from server along with the information of that listing from the database so that old files don't build up.
If there is no image uploaded it will show a "no image available" image for a thumbnail
The edit page is simple. They can go back and edit the title, the description, and replace the thumbnail image for a file they uploaded
No design is needed for this.. Just make sure I can apply a html header and footer to it.
Just set it so 2 are showing per row on the page. Up to 20 per page before it goes to page 2. We need the page navigation at the bottom. The thumbnails will all be set to a specific width (180px).. The height will be floating.
Please set it to alphabeticla order according to the title.
It will show it like this:
[title] (links to the file opens in a new window)
[thumbnail] (links to file opens in a new window)[Description]
If it is possible to set a limit on the file size, lets do that.. So that if the file size is over 20mb then it gives a message saying the file you upload must be under 20mb.
