I need XMail to accept mail with two TLDs in address ([joe@[login to view URL]][1]), bypass SMTP authentication, check against a member database, strip off 2nd TLD & pass it to existing software.
A. PSEUDO CODE
1. Create a filtered relay system:
a. If incoming mail includes 2 TLDs in the "to: address" (<someone@[login to view URL]>) then go to b.
b. Compare the "from address" to a mysql member database.
c. IF the name is a match then it would strip off our email address send to a queue (currently exists and working) for our processing before sending it out.
d. IF no match return to sender or delete (to be decided)
2. IF incoming mail includes 1 TLD (<someone@[login to view URL]>) in the "to: address" we use our current SMTP Authenticaton.
IF it passes, send to mailbox (info@, billing@ etc.)
IF it fails, reject & return to sender or delete
B. SETUP A SYSTEM OF MAILBOXES FOR INTERNAL USE
Winning bid based upon the programmer's suggestion on how this can be done using XMail as well as price. Knowledge and experience in PHP, XMail and LAMP servers required.
## Deliverables
My web service has to handle incoming email addressing in a similar fashion to the way [[login to view URL]][2] accepts some mail without SMTP. [login to view URL] provides its clients with various email tracking services.
To use their service, the subscriber appends an outgoing email address with .[login to view URL], thereby sending the mail to readnotify first. When the email arrives at their server, with a "to: address" having two Top Level Domain addresses (TLDs) included in it, (Looking something like this:
<someone@[login to view URL]>) their software checks to see if it's from a subscriber. If it's from a subscriber (or trial user) their mail software will bypass the smtp authentication and let the mail enter their system to be processed for tracking, then strips off their address and forwards it to the intended receiver.
The bidder can look at descriptions and even sign up for a free trial to see more closely how it works and how I need my service to work.
