We have a consumer e-commerce site that is almost done, but our developer can't seem to complete it, so we're looking for talent who can finish it up. If you know PHP, Ruby, JS and that sort of thing, this should be right up your alley.
This project is way past deadline, so if you can complete it quickly, there's a bonus in it for you. Maybe even ongoing revenue participation (one of our other sites has over 250,000 registered users and has been paying out profitably for ten years!!!)
Currently I have a project on github so you will need an account on there. If you already have an account, let me know and I will add you as a contributor to the project. As for the project and what has been done thus far, there currently the following components working on the project:
Occasion Templates (Occasions with templated text that has placeholders for values to replace them)
Admin backend to manage occasions, see how many times an occasion was used, monitor orders, etc
Occasions automatically populate the front page so users can click them and have a default
PHP script that Ruby interfaces with to interact with a remote merchant system
Order confirmation/downloads that get emailed to the user
Templating system that runs ImageMagick for preview of the image
Templating system that runs through wicked_pdf to generate the actual PDF (This is what we are having an issue with)
What needs to be done:
Currently what we are looking for is a way to input the values into the copy of any occasions text and have that placed uniformly into the PDFs current layout. The system goes as (Newspaper Layout -> Occasion text (columns in the db for occasion copy)->User Input. We want the text to always be flush with the bottom no matter the info placed. The only way we see this working is with JS and OPTIONAL copy that you can pull from to extend the text further until it is flush.
90% of this project is completed. We're just looking for someone to finish it up.
