Long-Term, Part-Time, PHP(Laravel) Developer

Greetings, We at Analight Technology are looking for a PHP Developer to assist us in projects that may began in the next few months. Skills and Qualifications: -Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a firm requirement. The developer will have occasional Skype discussions with other members of the team to discuss various aspects of the project. -All code is collaborated through Bitbucket (like github) using git. The developer must have a proficient understanding of git and the ability to checkout branches, commit work, push and pull updates from remotes, merge branches, and resolve merge conflicts. -Strong familiarity with design patterns (e.g. Singleton, Object Pool, Factory Method, Adapter, Iterator, Observer, Read-Write Lock, etc.) This is an essential qualification and a firm requirement for all developers. -Strong familiarity with MVC and other architectural patterns that foster separation of concerns. This is an essential qualification and a firm requirement for all developers. -Proven experience with Laravel Framework and integrated components, e.g. Eloquent ORM, migrations, authentication drivers, blade templating, etc. Assignment: -Create a single user application that allows a user to view current stock prices for selected stock symbols and save a snapshot of the stock price to a database. This assignment will not consider interface design but will focus mainly on functional completion. In other words, don't spend time or provide estimates for building user-friendly interfaces. Rather, build simple forms and ensure that the functional requirements are met. This must be a single page application. -No authentication required. Enter the url http://localhost_or_somehost/stocks to load the form. -A textbox allows the user to enter stock symbols to track. New symbols are saved to the database and duplicates are not allowed. The table name should be "symbol". The page will display the current stock price for each symbol by pulling a quote from Yahoo finance upon page refresh. The stock values do not need to be updated realtime as the user is passively watching the screen. Rather, refreshing the price at the time of page refresh is sufficient. -Each symbol and stock price should have a button titled "Save" that saves the stock price to a MySql table. The snapshot table name should be "snapshot" and is related to the "symbol" table by the stock symbol name or by primary/foreign key IDs. -Finally, the stock symbol on the page should be a clickable link. When clicked, it should cause the right 1/2 of the screen to display any snapshot history for the symbol as retrieved from MySQL.
