I have an existing PHP script that I use for sending out email to people who sign up for the list and it works correctly.
However, one part of the script is a subroutine that logs into an IMAP email account, checks for messages and retrieves valid email addresses from those bounced messages and updates that email address counter in the database that we've received a bounced message.
The subroutine matches all email addresses found in the email though and I would like it to only update the database once per email address found. Sometimes bounced messages will contain the email address that returned that email 3-4 times which results in that email address' counter in the database being incremented by 3-4 when only one message was returned.
I'd also like to have a list of email addresses not to match or update in the database when they're found which can be hard coded in the program.
This really would be a very nominal project for a knowledgeable PHP programmer.
