My client(A small private school), has decided to install a library facility as part of it extension programme.
They have requested me to provide a library book management database, I am looking for a designer who can provide me with a fully functional databse which can manage and handle around 1500-2000 books, the database requires bar-code reader compatibility, as the client has requested this setup...
All the usual library facilities are required such as:
*Keeping track of book stock/modifying/notifying etc...
*Keeping track of book lending periods and dates etc...
*Keeping track of Fines and costs that may be incurred due to overborrwing etc...
I am hoping a good designer will offer his/her previous experience as knowledge on how a system like this should be set up and what requirements a library database will need to meet in order to be successful.
The databse will be run from a windows 2000 platform and will require a GUI to it, in addition as stated above will need to be compatible with a laser bar code reader of some kind.
As this is a typical job from one of our typical clients, the winning bidder may well be requested for more coding jobs if they offer this at the right level of quality and for the right price.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
