Excel VBA workbook/macro to parse multiple data files and store data in workbook

I have a directory with a number of files in it. Each of these files is an Instant Message Log. What I need is an Excel SS with a VBA macro which goes through all files in a directory and populates a SS with the data. The Excel workbook should have one worksheet: Cell A1 will have an "Import" button to grab data from the files Cell A2 will have the directory where the log files can be found Row 3 will have the column headers for columnar data which will start on row 4: Date (in MM/DD/YY format) Time (in HH:MM:SS 24hr format) My ID (text format) Recipient ID (text format) Message (text format) When "Import" button is pressed, the program will cycle through all the log files, and grab each message line in each file and populate the spreadsheet with one line per message. Notes: You should see a line that begins with "Session Start" or "sion Start" and this will have the following for the upcoming messages for that session: Data for My ID Data for Recipient ID Date The message lines follow and will have the following: Time of that message Data for the My ID or the Recipient ID will appear after the time and before the ":". The ":" is not part of the ID Text of that message In the attached file, you will see a few example logs and full specs ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
