LongNames/Utility to find files with long Names

This file will be a utility to find files with long [login to view URL] user will be able to do the following: [login to view URL] a disk [login to view URL] a directory [login to view URL] a length for a file name [login to view URL] to list either a)Those files whose names are longer (>) than the length entered b)Less than or equal(<=)to the length entered [login to view URL] a range of file names [login to view URL] to list either a)to ignore the name range entered and process all files b)the files in the name range entered c)the files outside the name range entered [login to view URL] the scan of files by hitting a scan files button. -When Scan Files Button Clicked: it will then check each of the files in the directory and report a list of the files that meet the selected properties(about name length and alphabetic range)and will put the list of files that meet the requirements in a text [login to view URL] the length of the file name in the [login to view URL] this outputtext box "multiline" and allow scrollbars. Be sure to have each line of text that is entered end with a vbNewLine so that each will be on a different line in the output text box. Then, count the number of files that match the criteria and display that number as ex: "7 files matched out of 20".Clear the result box when you need to reuse it the next time the user presses the scan files [login to view URL] up defaults for the values for the length, range and [login to view URL] a name length with EX: NameLength = len(CustomerName$). To find out how many items in a list use .ListCount property(nothing else)Identify the specific element you want as an array index. EX: [login to view URL](2) will be the 3rd item in the list,starting the count from 0. I know i'm a student, no big company deal here, but plese dont just email me with "I can do it for you!". ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Please only use the following that I have learned, no facy error messages. Just use the program that I have attached but impliment the code. Please use the variable names that I have made alreadyin the program thatis attached. The program must be written with For..Loop statemets (For, While) and also one array,along with if then statements. Please have well commented code and well indented. 2) The program must be sent back to me in the following forms: EXE, FRM, and VBP. Please also send a text document that explains what you did. Just an overview will be fine. KEEP THE PROGRAM THE WAY IT LOOKS. The program must be able to run in VB 6.0. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform The program should run in Visual Basic 6.0. Nothig else. The program should run on Windows ME, Windows Professional, basically all windows programs. Not the oldest one though. No errors please. ## Deadline information I welcome coders in different time zones, however be aware that I'm in NEW YORK. Your December 6th, might not be mine. Pleas finish accordingly to where I have it in my hands on the 6th(My Time - Eastern standard) If you can have it earlier that is a plus but not necessary.
