effectively I am after a "remote assistance tool", or MSN "bot". imagine I am at "PC_A", miles away from "PC_B". I would like to start an MSN session with "PC_B" which responds by asking me for a password. Having supplied the correct password (using a chat session!), I would be free to enter commands that cause "PC_B" to do as I ask... for example, It could give me a directory listing of "PC_B". It would dump the listing to a file and offer it to me as a file transfer for me to accept on "PC_A". I would very likely want a certain file from "PC_B". I guess there are many ways of doing this. It seems that MSN is a cool tool to use, but I will be open to suggestions. see [url removed, login to view] I also wonder if it would be better to have a custom app... explorer style etc, where the left hand could represent the file system of the remote system. IDEALLY, we'd create COM addins too ;) I need feedback to develop the better picture of what this app would/could/should do...
