Dear GamblingDesign, We know how to work with Google Adwords API to get response from the tool. We have done this in Opencart and as a product. Regarding what you want,t o gather data from Adwords is OK with a few comment. Need to work via an MMC account, otherwise you do not have access to API and can work in 2 way. PHP version or Scripting inside of MMC account. Both are OK for us, but we prefer PHP version, much more extended versus scripting. Also you cannot get competition (as I know) from API.
