I have recently started a program in which athletes compete at their own gyms and then post their scores to my website in order to compare their scores to other people around the country.
These people all do the same workout and compare scores.
The program has grown faster than I expected and the website I built in Joomla is already sub-par.

I like the general layout and do not expect much in the way of changes to the structure / design of the site (although I am open to it).
What I would like is:
1) Better profile pages for GYM OWNERS, and for INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES.

2) Close to number 1 above, the ability for the gym owners and athletes to edit their own profile pages. Right now I have to edit everything for the affiliates.
3) The ability to post workouts in an easy, pre-formatted form. Right now I have to create a blog post and edit the heck out of it every time I post.

4) The ability for Athletes and Affiliate Teams to post the results of their workouts
No example available right now, but essentially they should be able to post their results of their workout and the website/application will put their scores in order of score.
5) I have a [url removed, login to view] account and would like for some sort of shopping cart integration, however, I have the ability to integrate another solution...so unless it is an easy integration, don't worry too much about it.
In otherwords, if I score 10 points, and my opponent scores 8 points, the database will list me above my opponent and rank me.
IMPORTANT - if the developer thinks it would be easier and cost less to redevelop the whole site from scratch, I am open to that. We are going to also have to change the name soon, but I do not anticipate the developer being a part of that.
I am looking for a competition website with social networking integrated.
Users need to be able to:
1) Register on the website as an individual
2) Create "groups" that are their gyms
3) Create "teams" from members of their groups
- 6 Person Teams (4 males, 2 females)
- 3 Person Half-Teams (2 males, 1 female)
4) Register for events
- Either as a team (see above)
- or as an Individual
5) Pay for events
Admin needs to be able to:
1) Create events
- Team Events
- Individual Events
2) Setup payment providers (paypal, [url removed, login to view], etc)
3) Create sponsors
4) All the user abilities posted above
