I am looking to build a simple storefront for a wholesale business.
I would like to have main categories that can have many sub-categories under them where the items will be shown. Some main categories will not have any sub-categories so the items will be shown when the main category is clicked.
Each item will have its own details page where the items description and images (will need to be watermarked with logo when uploaded) will be shown. Some items will have multiple images so it will need to load with the main picture and then have thumbnails of the others under it and when they are clicked they will be loaded in place of the original item. Each item will have its own item number that is related to the main/sub category that its in. Example:
An item is in the Outdoors category and the Hats sub-category. So the item number will be OU101. The OU is for OU (this 2 letter code will be entered when adding the main categories) and the first 1 is because Hats is the first sub-category under the Outdoors category and 01 is because it is the first item in that sub-category.
The store will have a very simple checkout process, a user (who must register for an account) will add items to their cart and then checkout, when they do so an invoice will be created and added to the orders section in the admin section (an e-mail will also be sent to me telling me their is a new order). The customer will then be taken to a thank you page where they will be told that they will be contacted by a representative with shipping/payment information within 24 hours. There will also be a minimum order amount of $300.
The front page will show the categories on the left side and a login box on the right and in the middle will be one box showing the newest items added and the second will show the most popular items.
Everything for this site will need to be easily edited from the admin panel including categories, sub-categories, front page text, logo, meta-data, etc.
Th design will need to be very simple, no graphics needed and preferably very soft blues and round corners used.
If you have any questions please ask them in the PMB and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
