For existing site: [url removed, login to view] For the front page, rather than swapping jpg images, I would like a Flash movie within the following parameters: No border. About 2/3 or 1/2 the size of the current image box. The movie will play based on what images are found in a particular directory. Changing the images in the directory will cause the images displayed in the flash movie to change. The customer may want to remove pictures, or add pictures, and should be able to do so without modifying the flash movie. I know there is a way to do this with XML, by modifying a text file. The method is described here: [url removed, login to view] I do not want an ugly strict slide show like this is describing, but thought the technique could be used by the customer to modify the XML file, drop new images in a folder, and they would be in good shape. If there are other ways to do it, I am open to suggestions. If we go the route of configuration through the XML file, I would need an administrative management interface to modifying it that would pull the images from the directory, and supply them as a drop down maybe, then a pre-filled field for them the see what the format of the link URL needs to look like. I don't want them modifying the XML file. I do not want the old style flash movie with a timeline which would need to be redone whenever they have new pictures. See the deliverables for additional information about the flash. Ran into the 2000 character limit. See below.
Description continued: Also, within the flash movie, the photo, when displayed, should be linked to the "additional information" page of the jewelry being shown. So if the picture being shown is a diamond ring, clicking on it when it is displayed should load details about that product in the catalog, and there should also be a way to go from that additional information page back to the catalog category that this piece came from. Let's say for example it was a diamond and platinum women's ring. Maybe the navigation could say be choices like: See more by this designer See more platinum See more diamonds See more rings Something like that. For the flash movie, the transition between images should be slow and smooth, not abrupt like the current images change. It should fade in or out. Something smooth and elegant. Each image should be displayed for approximately 3 to 5 seconds, depending on the transition being used. If the transition takes a long time, then the 3 second display should be used I think. This may need to be modified as we go. That is the scope of this project - the flash movie. Please tell me if it can be done and for how much, and I will notify the customer. Bidder is to contact me through this site only, and never contact the end customer. Please note I made a notation in the deliverables about any "coding by" or "web design by" messages. There can be none in the display or source anywhere. Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4)No visible notation of any kind to be made in files indicating designed by or coded by or programmed by anyone, and similarly, no comments to be made in the source of the project indicating any of the same things.

I modified the request a bit, since it appears that the XML file for the images is going to be a requirement. I will need a way for the client to modify this through the web, an administrative interface, so they do not modify the XML file directly.
Please read the request again to see what has changed. I have also extended the deadline two more days.
