PHP or Ruby scipt. Builds CSV file from Whois API call.

If you're a php or ruby coder, this small project may be interesting to you.

I'm looking for a small app which looks up admin and technical contact info for domains using this whois xml api: [url removed, login to view]

Domains will be input by the user. The app will retrieve all domain info from this api, parse it and build a cvs file.

Here's a little more detail:

- For user input, I envision a textarea box, where the user enters one domain per line.

- Upon the user clicking submit, the app would do the following:

- Validate that the domains are valid

- For those that are bad, keep an error log but dont stop processing good domains

- For those domains are that good, check each against your whois api retrieving admin and technical contact info

- Return the collected record set along w error log to the page

- Enable the user to download the record sets as a csv file

I only envision two pages/views (ie. the input page and the record set page)

Because this is a simple app, the budget for this is $100. A $50 bonus will be paid if you can and do deliver this withing 2 weeks of the date that this project is posted to rentacoder.
