We are looking at a tool which meets the following requirements. We prefer excel based tool. If you can suggest any alternate which does not have recurring expenses we can look at alternate option.
The scope of the tool is as listed below :-
Tool
a. We need a tool to compare different regulatory programs or different customer program requirements.
b. There should be 2 major sections within the tool, one is Product Testing & second is Consumer Products Testing. Based on the selection the tool should list out Safety, Performance, Energy Efficiency,.
c. The user should be able to choose any one selection and based on the selection, the tool should show up the different programs available under that section
1. If selection is Product Testing then it should list out all regulatory program names from the excel file (based on the selection Safety, Performance, Energy Efficiency)
2. If selection is Consumer Products Testing then it should list out all customer program names from the excel file
d. User will select required programs (single or multiple selections) and will select whether he/she needs comparison of all the requirement, unique requirements or common requirements
e. Based on the selection the tool should create a PDF file with the comparison details highlighting common requirements, unique requirements in different color
f. The tool should be able to accommodate adding new programs as and when required. The addition should be by authorized person(s) only. Please provide option to change password by authorized persons
g. The tool should accommodate adding maximum of 100 programs (columns) each (Safety, CRS), 1000 different requirements (rows) each.
Data
a. The data is organized in a tabular form
b. Columns contain different programs
c. Rows contain requirements
d. The intersecting cells will have Yes or No and may contain some text or link to a web page. But it always will have Yes or No.
e. Data should not be visible to regular user. It should be editable only by authorized personal.
