First Phase:- I can use Feeds Import module to upload data from excel file to Drupal database. As you are moving to Drupal, there's a good chance that I can import data & Feeds module is the most common way to import data and content into Drupal database. -Feeds module import or aggregate data as nodes, users, taxonomy terms or simple database records. -It also import RSS/Atom feeds -Import or aggregate OPML files -Extensible to import any other kind of content -Granular mapping of input elements to Drupal content elements -Exportable configurations -Batched import for large files Please share your thought. Power Import module is available also. It enables import from a CSV file into profiles of mapped node/CCK fields & taxonomy terms. > May I know the type of data which is in the excel file? 2nd phase:- Please confirm me, if you wish to build up an editable data grid? In drupal, each row has to be a separate 'node'. Each node is given a node id which is auto incremented & shared amongst all nodes. I just need to create a content type with fields representing each column. It's the table from here, I can create a view that will aggregate all nodes & output them to a grid or any display type I choose. I can make any fields in view link to the edit screen. To make this, primarily there may arise few complication . I can can add all shorts of filtering & display formats to the presentation. Please take your time & ping me on your convenience.
