Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced freelancer to collaborate with our company on an exciting project. The task at hand involves the planning of an architecture of an AI-based, personalized newsletter system.
Requirements:
Proficiency in tools for web scraping, particularly in extracting information from websites (e.g. APIfy)
Good knowledge and experience on API connection as well as prompts for large language models like ChatGPT for text summarization.
Knowledge on cloud based database infrastructures (e.g. PHP?) as the base for our newsletter system.
Knowledge on newsletter providers and their API possibilities (e.g. Mailchimp?)
Responsibilities:
Collaboration with our team in the initial consultation phase, estimated at 3-4 video meetings with in total 5-10 hours, to understand the project and create a technical plan for the project. Upon successful completion of the initial consultation phase, we anticipate additional hours for project implementation.

Project description:
The project aims to provide customers with a daily updated newsletter featuring industry-specific news.
How are the news generated? Information is gathered by scraping websites. With the help of ChatGPT, specific data such as the date, location, and predefined category tags are extracted from the scraped information, and a brief summary of the information is created. This process results in small "news blogs" that serve as the foundation for the dynamic newsletters.
At the beginning of the project, the URLs of the websites to be scraped are obtained through a simple Google News query (Germany). The Google News search is based on keywords such as "Climate, Forest, and Credit." Later, additional word combinations shall be added, such as "Carbon, Agroforestry, and Emission Trading."
The numerous news blogs with their category tags now form the basis for dynamically filling the newsletter according to the subscriber’s interests.
Subscribers receive the newsletter daily, and there will be an option for a "weekly" frequency in the future. If there is no news available for a subscriber, an email with the message "Sorry, no news" will be sent.
Subscribers are required to specify their interests (corresponding to the tags) when subscribing to the newsletter. If the selection of their interests matches a certain percentage with the tags of the news blogs, a news blog is assigned to the subscriber.
We use WordPress as a CMS, and each news blog will be created as a "post." There will be a website where all news blogs can be viewed and filtered (by date, location, tags).
