Situation: I have a wordpress site running on an Affiliate Pro plugin ([url removed, login to view]) to allow members to sign up as an affiliate to promote products. The issue is if new users want to be an affiliate, the new users need to sign up as a normal acc (wordpress) then these new users would then need to signup again for affiliate account (under that plugin)... too many steps.
Solution required: When new users sign up as a member in wordpress, the new users automatically becomes an affiliate with their affiliate ID, no need to signup again for affiliate account. (which means that the new member info from wordpress automatically inject that same info into the affiliate plugin, thus making the new member an affiliate automatically).
2nd thing, is it possible to tweak the Shareaholic (The Sexybookmark WP plugin) to include the user's affiliate ID in the URL when they share on FB, Twitter and other social sites from Shareaholic plugin?
Example scenario: Say when Betty logged into the web site (wordpress), the site knows I'm Betty and my affiliate ID is 123. So when Betty decided to share a page or product via the shareacholic social buttons (FB, Twitter and etc) on that page, that shareacholic plugin will auto include Betty's affiliate ID 123 to the URL that is going to be shared.
3rd thing is if Betty (with Affiliate ID 123) shared any pages or products via Shareacholic buttons, he will get rewarded. Meaning a workaround to register that 'action' as some form of sale in affiliate pro plugin so that Betty gets rewarded.
1. New user registration at website is tied up to affiliate pro user DB to auto generate their Affiliate ID without the need for that same new user to register again as an affiliate member.
2. To include Affiliate ID in shareaholic sharing URLs
3. Reward the user (in Affiliate Pro DB) when the user shared the page or products via shareacholic
Should anyone have any further questions, feel free to ask me.
Thanks and best regards,
