We are looking to develop a membership mobile app to be accessible on IOS and Android.
The basic requirements are that we can store a membership database on the app, but sync once a day with the master MS SQL server when there is a 3G/4G/Wifi connection to update. We can provide API access to the relevant MS SQL Server. Important the App must work when their is no connection i.e. "offline".
The app would simply be
Login – this would use the users current username/password as stored in the database to authorise. Once a user has logged in the details would be retained on the device, only requesting login from time to time, rather than on all uses.
Main App Screen – this would provide simply have a
Search text box with search button - which would search the data in 1) below.

On sub-pages this could be a hidden menu, so all options plus home accessible from drawer type approach.
The functions would be
1. Members Directory – an offline version of the current web based member directory.
The main directory listing would just list the company name, country/territory, 24/7 contact which would be displayed when this screen was entered.
However, at the top of this screen would be a search box, to search the data and filter results by company name/contact name/country.
Against the listing for each member would be a "VIEW" button to access the full member profile. The data being shown on the member detail screen would be
• Company Name
• Head Office Address
• Head Office Telephone
• Head Office Skype
• Head Office Email
• Head Office 24/7 Number
• Website
• Country / Territory
• Date Joined
• A list of contacts (Contact Name, Position, Telephone, Email, Office Based at)
• Profile / Outline Description of Business
• Local Charges / Rates (added as function 2)
Current number of records approx 140 members details would be stored.
(This would need to be stored on the local device as part of the App. The membership details are updated from time to time, that these be updated daily so connecting to the master MS SQL server when a connection becomes available. We would provide API services to connect to the SQL database)
2 Local Charges / Rates – members will be able to update within the app a textbox area, that allows them to detail local charges/rates. This would need to synchronise / update back to the main SQL database so that this information becomes available to other members with the membership directory (1).
3 About – a screen showing details of the version of the App and Head Office details for support
4. App Logout – a feature for members who wish to disconnect from the service.
Please provide a cost, payment terms, indication of how you would approach the project, timescale, example projects for reference.
Please also advise if you publish to the App Stores, or whether you need us to get accounts. Also your adhoc maintenance costs for future changes if required, and re-publishing.
