WooAutoship allows users to create auto shipments for future orders. Most of the foundation is done but I need someone to make the following changes:
Customers should be able to add items to an existing auto-shipment using the front end shopping cart experience of the website. Currently the plugin requires a user to modify auto shipments from My Account page. Although the functionality is there, we need to bring it to the front end to allow users to shop the store and add items to auto-ship schedules. There are hooks already in place to achieve this. There are 2 frequencies, weekly and bi-weekly. If a user has an existing schedule and is shopping adding items to cart for auto-shipment, then that schedule should be updated instead of the cart. If no existing schedule is found with that frequency, then the process of checkout is normal
There is a calendar that allows users to choose first shipment date. Currently it is a custom field, but when an order is placed this date field needs to update the auto-shipment schedule delivery date. There are 2 zones. One has delivery dates of Mon, Wed, Fri and the other has dates of Tues, Thurs, Sat. I have js in place that will show available dates based on the shipping zip code. I will need this to be revisited.
x (48) hours prior to an upcoming order, customer should get a notification about their upcoming order and if they would like to modify it. They can login the website and do so. This needs to be a setting that can be changed from the dashboard by admin.
WooAutoship automatically handles the payments, but I need to be sure that once a customer updates an existing schedule, that the customer is charged proper amount.
Users can still place a regular one-time order using the normal flow of Woocommerce. If a customer makes a one-time purchase and the delivery date falls on the same date as an existing auto-shipment schedule delivery date, customer should only be charged with one delivery fee.
Lets talk more in detail and I can provide access to staging site to test what is already in place. Need to get started ASAP
