A phone call is made into IVR and the person enters an ID #. The IVR has to query MySQL database and see if that ID has been registered already. If it has been registered the caller is simply told the date it was registered. If the ID has not been registered the caller is told : This ID has not been registered Press 1 to register it and press 2 if you do not want to register it at this time. If the caller hits 1 to register the ID the IVR system needs to update the MySQL database. That's the whole simple project. Just verifying if the ticket ID has been used and if not used registering it!
