On my php api for an android app I use PHPMailer() ([login to view URL])
for sending verification mails.
$mail = new PHPMailer(true);
$to = GTG_security($_REQUEST['email']);
$mail->SMTPDebug = 4;
$mail->Host = '[login to view URL]';
$mail->SMTPAuth = true;
$mail->Username = 'info@[login to view URL]';
$mail->Password = '*******';
$mail->SMTPSecure = 'ssl';
$mail->Port = 587;
$mail->setFrom('info@[login to view URL]', '[login to view URL]');
$mail->Subject = 'Verification Mail';
$mail->Body = "<html>
<h4><b>Hello ".$first_name." ".$last_name."</b></h4>
<p>Please click Below link to Verify Your Account</p><br>
<a href='".$SITE_URL."/webservices/[login to view URL]".$last_inserted_id."'>Click Here...</a><br><br>
$json = array("status" => 1);
Problem is that mails are just received for gmail registrated accounts, but flagged as spam and do not trust,...
I tried for example [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] Registration, there it does not work.
Maybe someone knows the reason?

Hi, This is not a generic bid, I have understood that what you are looking for. I can do this within a couple of days, Let me know if you are interested so we can move forward. Thanks, Naveed
If you are using a custom RegisterController you should be able to call $user->sendEmailVerificationNotification(); this in turn calls the $this->notify(new Notifications\VerifyEmail);
