I require a freelancer who knows how to code in Python and one who has prior experience in creating recommender systems using techniques such as: Content Filtering, Item-Based Collaborative Filtering, User-Based Collaborative Filtering and Hybrid Approach, etc. The freelancer should also be able to evaluate these approaches to measure the effectiveness of each approach and compare these with one another, i.e. the model accuracy score so that we can see the accuracy of the recommended items.
I have a lot of data and therefore there will be a number of algorithms required for this project. However, the approach is similar so it should be as simple as copying the code and applying it to the context of the data. I have some code available for the freelancer to work on so that the freelancer does not have to work from scratch.
The recommender system in summary is a system where ‘users’ would fill in questionnaires, which determine the category of ‘items’ to recommend and subsequently the recommended ‘items’ would be shown to the ‘user’. The ‘user’ would then select a recommended ‘item’ from a choice of the top 3 ‘items’, they would then use the ‘item’ and provide feedback on it on a later date. The feedback would then go on to influence the recommendation for other ‘users’ and the ‘user’ themselves.
The data (user, item, feedback) for the recommended system is currently on CSV files but I will move to an SQL database later on. The recommender system will be connected to a web front end so knowledge of SQL and PHP will be beneficial.
I will be able to provide more details over chat and am flexible with the way the freelancer would like to approach this. Ideally the more knowledgeable the freelancer is in this area the easier the project is for both of us.
If I find the freelancer great to work with, there will definitely be more work in future. Please do not bid if you have not created recommender systems before, as I would like to finish this project as quickly as possible. This is also a learning curve for me so someone who is able to explain the coding and process to me would be ideal, as I would need to later document this.
