I have a website that is hosted on HostGator. I have access to the HostGator server files.
The website was designed using Wordpress. I need someone to login to the admin account. The usual login [url removed, login to view] won't work because it actually directs it to an old domain [url removed, login to view] which I no longer own.
You may have to access and edit the MySQL database to change the name of the host, so that it stops trying to access [url removed, login to view] which doesn't exist anymore.
I have the email for the admin account.
Solution may be something like this: Access to the database and ftp to get into WordPress with admin access.
It involves (after doing a database backup) changing the admin user's user_login & user_email in the database using phpMyAdmin and then running the emergency password reset script [url removed, login to view] from which you can upload by ftp (& then delete the script asap for obvious reasons).
I will also need a description of all the steps that you took to complete the work, so that I can do so myself later if I need to. Also need instructions for changing text and images etc. on the webpages.
