Food Machinery Field Service Engineer

I need a hands-on field service engineer who holds an EPA 608 refrigeration certification and can spend most of the time keeping our food-processing equipment running at peak efficiency. The heart of the job is maintenance—specifically, accurate calibration and adjustment of temperature controls, pressure switches, flow meters, vacuum and any other critical components that keep product quality and safety within spec. You will also travel to customer sites to install new food-processing machinery. Once the hardware is in place you may have to work with PLCs, tweak ladder logic, and verify that every sensor and actuator reports correctly before sign-off. Although troubleshooting is part of life in the field, I measure success by how well the preventive work you do avoids unplanned downtime. Because many of our systems rely on industrial refrigeration loops, your 608 credentials must be current and you should be comfortable reclaiming refrigerant, pressure-testing lines, and documenting compliance. Key deliverables for each assignment: • Completed calibration and adjustment checklist with before/after values • Installation report for any new food-processing machine, including PLC backup files • Refrigeration service log that satisfies 608 record-keeping requirements • Brief root-cause summary if any unplanned fault is resolved on site If you combine solid refrigeration know-how with PLC fluency and a knack for precise calibration, let’s schedule a kickoff call and line up the first service window.
