You are an IT administrator for your organization. Part of your duties is to manage and

maintain several network workstations and their related services. To save time and

simplify network management, you wish to explore the use of PowerShell scripts.

In this assignment, you will use the concepts provided throughout the PowerShell course

to create a sample PowerShell script that can be used to perform three useful

administrative tasks. You have the ability to select your own administrative tasks for this

assignment. A sample set of tasks that you could use include:

-Audit a series of workstations to ensure that a particular service is running.

-Audit a series of workstations to see whether a scheduled task has run.

-Generate a list of 'online' and 'offline' workstations within a network.

At the conclusion of your project, you will need to hand in a report (in Microsoft Word

format) that contains the following elements:

-Purpose (the purpose of your PowerShell script and why it is useful)

-Function (the process and tasks that your PowerShell script performs in order)

-Usage (the usage of your PowerShell script including any options and arguments)

-Script (a copy of the entire script)

You must email a copy of this report (as well as your PowerShell script file) to your

instructor by the end of the final day of the class. Keep a copy of your report and

PowerShell script within your portfolio for use during a job interview. This report and

script can be used to showcase your PowerShell knowledge and experience to potential

employers.
