Civil PE for Site Development & Residential Projects

Project Description We are a growing design and development firm seeking an experienced, US-licensed Professional Engineer (Civil PE) to support site development and permitting for residential and mixed-use projects across the Southeastern United States. This is a project-based, fully remote engagement with strong potential for long-term, recurring collaboration for the right candidate. We work on multiple active projects and need a reliable engineering partner who can deliver permit-ready civil plans with accuracy and on schedule. Project Locations Our projects are primarily located in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina. Candidates with active PE licensure and municipal permitting experience in any of these states are strongly preferred. What You'll Be Working On As our Civil Engineering consultant, your primary deliverables will include: Site grading and earthwork plans Drainage and stormwater management design Utility layout plans (water, sewer, storm) Stormwater calculations and reports Erosion and sediment control (E&SC) plans Detention and retention system design Responding to city and county review comments and plan revisions Coordination with architects and structural engineers Project Types We Handle Residential subdivisions Townhome and multifamily developments Single-family residential (custom and production) Light commercial site developments Required Qualifications Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license Hands-on experience with US residential site development Proven ability to produce permit-ready civil plan sets Familiarity with municipal and county submittal requirements Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Excellent written communication in English Software Requirements Required: AutoCAD Civil 3D (proficiency is non-negotiable) Preferred: HydroCAD HEC-RAS / HEC-HMS StormCAD ArcGIS Deliverables Per Project Organized, layered Civil 3D CAD files Permit-ready PDF drawing sets (stamped and signed) Stormwater calculations package Revision rounds based on reviewer comments How We Work We operate as a distributed team with clear workflows and fast communication: Zoom for project kickoffs and review calls Slack for day-to-day communication Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive for file sharing ClickUp for project tracking (preferred) Bluebeam for markup and drawing review (preferred) We respect your time, communicate clearly, and pay promptly upon milestone completion.
