I’m looking for a virtual project manager to oversee a residential construction project. The main tasks include: Project Tracking & Coordination Create and maintain a Google Sheets project plan (tasks, deadlines, costs, etc.). Track progress and communicate with the builder, contractors, and suppliers. Provide daily or weekly status updates. Budget & Cost Management Record cost estimates vs. actual costs for each task. Flag any budget overruns or concerns promptly. Communication & Follow-Ups Send emails or calls to contractors and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met. Use a friendly, engaging approach to keep everyone motivated and responsive. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in real estate or construction project management. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.). Friendly and professional attitude—someone who can help create a positive rapport with the builder and contractors. (Note: I’m open to hiring someone who can bring a warm, engaging style of communication, as we want a strong, cooperative relationship with our on-site team.) Deliverables A comprehensive Google Sheets tracker with tasks, responsible parties, deadlines, and cost estimates. Ongoing updates to the spreadsheet and consistent reporting on progress/issues. Coordinated communication with the builder and other trades. Budget & Timeline Budget: Hourly rate (you will need to submit time sheets for payment) Timeline: Ongoing project (several weeks to a few months).
