Freelance Audio Transcriber (Manual – No AI Tools)

Overview * We are seeking a detail-oriented freelance transcriber to manually transcribe approximately 4.5 hours of audio recordings. * This is not an AI-assisted role. All transcription must be completed manually without the use of automatic transcription tools (including but not limited to ChatGPT, Otter, Whisper, Descript, or similar software). * Accuracy, careful listening, and consistency of formatting are essential. * We are requesting a fixed bid price for the full 4.5 hours of audio. * The audio files are shared via Google Drive here [login to view URL] Please review the files prior to submitting a bid. Key Requirements 1. Manual Transcription Only * Transcription must be completed entirely by human listening. * The use of AI transcription tools or automated speech-to-text software is strictly prohibited. Work may be reviewed for authenticity and compliance. 2. Clean Transcription * Remove filler words such as: “um,” “uh,” “like,” repeated false starts, and verbal tics. * Maintain the natural meaning and integrity of the speech. * Lightly clean grammar only where necessary for readability. * Do not rewrite, interpret, or alter meaning. 3. Speaker Labelling * Do not attempt to identify speakers by name. * Use neutral labels only e.g. Speaker 1, Speaker 2 etc. * The first speaker in every file must: be formatted in red text every time they speak * All other speakers should remain in standard black text. 4. Unclear Audio * Where words cannot be made out, insert a timestamp in the format: hh:mm:ss * Use the word Undecipherable after the timestamp. If you have a solid track record in manual English transcription and the patience to handle hard to hear, reflective, occasionally abstract spiritual content, I’d love to hear how quickly you can turn around an initial sample and your approach to ensuring accuracy without machine assistance.
