Experienced PR for a New Zealand organization


This position will help build and sustain a good image for Te Whare Hukahuka. This includes organizing and overseeing PR activities and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, media, and the public. Your key role is to write clear and concise copy for ads, publications, content captions, blogs, website wordings and any project needing engaging communications. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.

Ultimately, the key aim as a PR specialist is to handle all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities. As a PR Specialist, you will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with consumers, the community, and other partners or groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information. We expect you to have a creative mind and excellent communication skills. If you are also confident in your public speaking and project management abilities, we’d like to meet you.

Key Accountabilities:

-Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies

-Collaborate with different stakeholders and higher management to make sure that the communication assets and releases are updated and within the project objectives.

-Respond to requests for information release or press conferences from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.

-Write press releases and other media communications to promote Te Whare Hukahuka and our different projects.

-Establish and maintain relationships with consumers, community, other organizations, and public interest groups.

-Drive brand consistency across all company communications

-Develop and implement brand guidelines

-Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.)

-Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising

-Study the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.

Experience and Education:

-2 years of relevant experience

-Proven efficient administrative and time management skills.

-E-commerce experience is a bonus

-Ability to manage time, deliverables and meet deadlines

-Proficient in Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides and forms).
