I’m building a web-based application that will have roughly 30–50 concurrent users and I need the entire backend put in place. My stack choice is clear: Django for the framework and PostgreSQL for the relational database. Core functionality I’m expecting: secure user authentication, robust data storage that scales smoothly as usage grows, and clean API integrations so the front-end team can consume endpoints without friction. I already have the high-level data model sketched out, so we can dive straight into designing the schema, wiring up Django models, and exposing RESTful endpoints (DRF is fine, but I’m open to GraphQL if you can show a strong case). Deliverables • Fully-configured Django project running on PostgreSQL • User auth flow (registration, login, password reset) with best-practice security settings • CRUD endpoints for the primary data objects, documented via Swagger or similar • Integration layer ready for at least one external API, plus stubs for future additions • Deployment-ready settings (env-based config, migrations, basic unit tests) Acceptance criteria: automated tests pass, Swagger docs render without errors, and the project spins up in Docker (or a simple README-guided local setup). Once this baseline is solid we’ll look at caching, background tasks, and performance tuning, but phase one is all about getting a clean, maintainable backend in place.

Hello there, Hope you are doing well! I can build a clean, maintainable Django backend with PostgreSQL that scales for 30–50 concurrent users. I’ll start by aligning the data model with your sketches, wiring Django models, and exposing RESTful endpoints with robust authentication and security defaults. Key points I’ll cover include a solid user auth flow with registration, login, password reset, and best-practice security settings, plus CRUD endpoints for your core data objects. I’ll document the API with Swagger for easy frontend consumption and provide an integration layer ready for at least one external API, with stubs for future growth. The project will be Dockerized and include environment-based configuration, migrations, and basic unit tests to ensure reliability. I propose delivering a fully-configured Django project running on PostgreSQL, with migrations, automated tests, and a clear local setup guide. I’ll also set up a simple API surface that the frontend can consume immediately, and ensure the codebase is clean and maintainable for future caching and background tasks. If you’re available, I’d like to confirm the start date and weekly time commitment, and whether you own the current repository and cloud environment. I’m ready to dive in and deliver the baseline backend promptly. Hi, Before we start, could you share the high-level data model and confirm whether the frontend will use JWT/token-based authentication or session-based auth? That will help define the API and security structure correctly from the beginning. I understand you need a clean, maintainable Django backend for a web application with around 30–50 concurrent users, using PostgreSQL as the primary database. The first phase is focused on getting the foundation right: authentication, relational data modelling, REST APIs, external integrations, documentation, testing, and deployment-ready configuration. I would structure this with Django + DRF + PostgreSQL, environment-based settings, Docker, migrations, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and automated tests. The backend will be modular so caching, Celery/background jobs, Redis, and further API integrations can be added later without restructuring the project. A few things I’d like to clarify: - Can you share the current entities, relationships, and expected CRUD operations? - Will there be different user roles or permission levels? - Do you need email verification, 2FA, or social login? - Should APIs support filtering, pagination, search, and file uploads? I can also prepare the initial backend structure and API architecture first so you can review the approach before full development. Thank You

Hello, You need a backend that your frontend team can integrate with smoothly today and confidently build on as the application grows. I can build that foundation with Django + PostgreSQL, keeping it secure, maintainable, and deployment-ready. I’ll handle authentication, database schema/models, REST APIs with DRF, Swagger documentation, external API integration, migrations, automated tests, environment-based configuration, and Docker setup. I’ll keep the architecture practical for your 30-50 concurrent users while leaving room for future caching, background tasks, and scaling. If your data model is ready, I can start directly from it and get the backend foundation in place efficiently. Best, Niral

Hello, I can build the complete Django/PostgreSQL backend with secure authentication, REST APIs using Django REST Framework, CRUD operations, external API integration, Swagger documentation, and deployment-ready configuration. I have hands-on experience building production backend systems with Django, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, and REST APIs, including authentication, database design, integrations, and automated testing. I’ll keep the code modular and maintainable so caching, background tasks, and performance improvements can be added easily in the next phase. A couple of questions: 1. What are the primary data objects/modules in your existing high-level model, and what relationships or workflows do they require? 2. Which external API needs to be integrated in Phase 1? I can provide a clean Docker setup, migrations, tests, README, and Swagger documentation as part of the delivery.

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer with experience building Django backends for similar user loads and data complexity. I understand your goal: a solid foundation that scales without requiring rework. Your approach is sound. Starting with a clean schema, proper authentication, and well-documented endpoints gives your frontend team stability while leaving room for caching and background jobs later. I'd structure this in phases. First, I'll review your data model and design the PostgreSQL schema with proper indexing and relationships. Then I'll set up Django with DRF for the REST layer, implement secure user authentication with token management, and build CRUD endpoints for your primary objects. I'll add Swagger documentation for clarity on request and response formats. The integration layer will handle external APIs cleanly with clear patterns for adding more services. Finally, I'll wrap everything in Docker, add unit tests covering core flows, and document local development setup. On REST versus GraphQL: DRF is the right choice. It's straightforward, well-tested, and gives you what you need without GraphQL's complexity overhead at this stage. You can add GraphQL later if needed. One critical point: environment configuration must be airtight. I'll use Django's settings module with environment variables for secrets and credentials to prevent accidentally committing sensitive data. Testing will cover authentication flows and core CRUD operations, catching integration iss

Hi, I can build a secure backend using Django and PostgreSQL to support your web-based application. I will ensure user authentication is secure and data storage is scalable as usage increases. I will also create clean API integrations for your front-end team. Considerations include ensuring the database schema is optimized for performance and planning for future API integrations. I will also focus on implementing best practices for security in the user auth flow. To implement this project, I will set up a fully-configured Django project with PostgreSQL, create the user authentication flow, and develop CRUD endpoints for your data objects. I will document the API using Swagger and prepare the deployment settings for Docker. To get started, I will need access to your high-level data model and any specific requirements for the external API integration. Thanks!

Hi, I can build the Django/PostgreSQL backend around your existing high-level data model, implementing the schema, Django models, secure authentication, CRUD APIs and external API integration layer. I’d use Django REST Framework with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, environment-based configuration, migrations, Docker setup and unit tests, while keeping the architecture clean enough to add caching, background jobs and further integrations later without restructuring the core backend. Question 1: Can you provide the current high-level data model and identify the primary entities that the frontend needs to manage through the API? Question 2: Which external API should be integrated in phase one, and do you already have its authentication method and API documentation available? Regards, Houssame.

Your external API integration layer will fail under concurrent load if you don't implement connection pooling and rate-limit handling from day one. Without proper async task queuing, password reset emails and third-party API calls will block your request threads and create timeout errors once you hit 30+ simultaneous users. Quick questions - are you planning Redis for session management and Celery task queuing, or do you need recommendations on the caching/async stack? And what's your target response time for API endpoints under peak load? Here is the architectural approach: - DJANGO + POSTGRESQL: Build normalized schema with proper indexing on foreign keys and query-heavy fields, configure connection pooling via pgBouncer to handle concurrent reads without exhausting database connections. - RESTFUL API + SWAGGER: Implement DRF with token-based auth (JWT), add throttling middleware to prevent abuse, auto-generate OpenAPI 3.0 docs with request/response examples for your front-end team. - DOCKER + DEPLOYMENT: Create multi-stage Dockerfile with separate dev/prod configs, wire environment variables through docker-compose, include pytest suite covering auth flows and CRUD operations with 80%+ coverage. I've built similar Django backends for 4 SaaS platforms that scaled from pilot to 200K+ users without architectural rewrites. Let's schedule a 20-minute call to review your data model and confirm the integration requirements before I start the build.

Hello, Your hidden challenge is not merely building Django endpoints, it is creating a dependable contract between PostgreSQL, authentication, integrations, and the front-end team before future scaling exposes inconsistencies. I can establish the Django backend with secure registration, login, password reset, PostgreSQL-backed models, maintainable CRUD APIs, and clear Swagger documentation. I will structure the integration layer for the initial external API while keeping future providers easy to add, then configure environment-based settings, migrations, automated tests, and Docker or README-guided setup so acceptance is straightforward. My experience with Backend Development, SQL, Python, and API Development aligns directly with this foundation, including careful validation, permissions, error handling, and deployment readiness. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. We can review the sketched data model and authentication requirements first, then agree on the API contract and implementation sequence. Could you share the existing data-model sketch and specify the authentication method, user roles, and first external API requirements? Best regards, Asad The key details I would confirm are the preferred authentication mechanism and token lifecycle, the first external API’s authentication and error-handling requirements, and whether the 30-50 concurr

Hi there!! Based on your requirements, I understand that you're looking to develop a production-ready foundation for your web app, supporting around 30–50 concurrent users. The project focuses on secure authentication, a scalable relational data layer, well-structured REST APIs, and an integration layer that your frontend team can consume easily. I’ll translate your existing data model into clean Django models and PostgreSQL schemas, configure secure authentication, and build documented DRF endpoints with consistent validation and error handling. I’ll also structure the external API layer for future integrations, add environment-based configuration, Docker/local setup, migrations, unit tests, and Swagger documentation. - What are the primary data objects/modules in your existing high-level model, and what CRUD relationships or workflows do they require? - Which external API needs to be integrated first, and what operations/data should flow between your application and that service? - Are there specific authentication requirements such as email verification, roles/permissions, OAuth/SSO, 2FA, or admin/user access levels? Let's connect for a brief chat or call to discuss your project in detail. **Budget and Duration are placeholders. Kind Regards, Royal Design M.S

The following is an estimate on how much time features will take: - User auth flow (registration, login, password reset) with best-practice security settings For login -> jwt token + registration about 2 hours. For password reset, it depends on the mechanism. Do you expect to include an API to send emails? - CRUD endpoints for the primary data objects, documented via Swagger or similar I would estimate slightly less than 1 hour per data object, depending on validation needs. This includes implementing validation logic. I would use basic Rest for this with OpenAPI documentation. - • Deployment-ready settings (env-based config, migrations, basic unit tests) This is included in the other tasks.

Hi, there. “DJANGO + POSTGRESQL BACKEND” — a clean, secure API foundation that your front-end team can integrate with easily and that can grow as usage increases. I’d build this with Django REST Framework and PostgreSQL, using your existing data model as the starting point for the schema and Django models. I’d implement registration, login, password reset, and role-aware access where needed, then expose documented CRUD endpoints with Swagger. Environment-based settings, migrations, Docker configuration, and automated tests would be included so the project is straightforward to run and maintain. I’d also keep the external API integration modular, with a working first integration and clear stubs for future services. For 30–50 concurrent users, I’d focus initially on sound database queries, appropriate indexes, and reliable request handling rather than adding premature caching or background-task complexity. Could you share your current data model and let me know which external API should be integrated first? I’d be glad to help you build a maintainable backend for this project.

Hey, You have a high-level data model sketched out, and that sketch decides most of what phase one actually takes. A clean relational model with clear object boundaries means the Django models, CRUD endpoints and Swagger docs follow quickly. An ambiguous model with unclear relationships means the schema design is half the work before a single endpoint gets written, and changes mid-build break migrations. I'd review the sketch with you before writing a line of code, lock the schema, then build models, auth, CRUD endpoints and the external API integration layer in order. DRF with Swagger documentation, env-based config, Docker setup and unit tests are all included in phase one. Happy to make a case for GraphQL if the front-end consumption pattern suits it. Can you share the data model sketch so I can scope phase one accurately? And what is the external API the integration layer needs to connect to first?
