My name is Anthony Moreno, I am a software developer / entrepreneur / hard worker / smart worker and I'm currently developing a system that will help employees manage the accounts they are responsible for with the help of googlemapsAPI, as well as helping the business operators / owners manage payroll information and communication with the employees.
I have deployed a RestAPI (listener for http and https requests to handle json data) on a google cloud server but cannot establish a communication between the server and my python program running on my machine here in my office. I have tried allowing access to all my ports but my firewall logs have evidence that my webserver was hijacked before I could create a communication to my RestAPI listener @ port :5000
For diagnosis, I have opened two VM instances @ google cloud where my webserver is hosted. When I start up the API listener on one terminal and run my [login to view URL] script on the second terminal @[login to view URL], I get the json response I requested. My script works over local network, but it denies access when I send the request over the internet.
