Project Requirement: Live Camera Detection of 4 Black Boxes with Auto Capture We are looking for a skilled React Native (Expo) developer to implement a live camera-based detection feature. Requirement Overview The application will use the device camera to detect four black square boxes placed at the four corners of a square/rectangle in real time. When all four black boxes are correctly detected in the live camera view, the camera overlay will turn green, and the app will automatically capture a high-resolution image. After capture, the user must be able to preview the captured image with options to Save or Retake. This feature is intended for accurate document / OMR-style scanning. Functional Requirements Camera & Detection * Live camera preview using Expo Camera * Real-time detection of four black square boxes from the camera view * Validation rules: * All 4 black boxes must be detected * Boxes must represent the four corners of a square or rectangle * Detected shape must be properly aligned and stable Overlay Behavior * Camera overlay displayed on live preview * Overlay states: * Neutral → detection incomplete or invalid * Green → all 4 corners detected correctly Auto Capture * When overlay turns green: * Automatically capture the image * Capture must be in high resolution * Prevent image capture if: * Any corner is missing * Alignment is incorrect * Camera is still moving Preview, Save & Retake * After auto capture: * Show a preview screen of the captured image * Provide two actions: * Save → confirm and store the captured image * Retake → discard the image and return to live camera view * Ensure retake resets detection and overlay state Technical Requirements * Technology Stack: React Native with Expo * Use Expo Camera * Corner / black box detection using: * OpenCV (WebAssembly or Expo-compatible approach), or * Any optimized computer vision technique suitable for Expo * Must work on Android and iOS * Performance optimized for real-time detection Deliverables * Fully functional camera module with: * Live 4 black box detection * Green overlay confirmation on successful detection * Automatic high-resolution image capture * Preview screen with Save & Retake options * Clean and well-documented source code * Short demo video showing live detection, auto capture, and save/retake flow Preferred Experience * Prior experience with camera scanning applications * Strong knowledge of computer vision / image processing * Experience with document scanning or OMR detection is a plus
