I am writting a book. I have the concept, the structure, the chapters and an outline for each chapter and some materials, diagrams etc This amounts to 46 pages of say a 170 page book.
The bit I am missing is the embroidery, the stories, the anecdotes, case studies and examples that bring the concept to life.
This is a business book aimed at CEO's and CFOs and city analysts about how larger global orgniastions become stale, moribund and decay from forces of declien inetrnally and externally, they lose connnection with the market and lose agilty and become an orgnisation rather than a business.
The principle is that they should identify their core and externalise everything else to keep their capital and executive focus on their cutting edge and what makes them different and their chosen market.
I would like to make it a business leadership book as opposed to a veiled outsourcing recommendation. Examples would be the stories of corporate failure in the last 100 years. The fortune 500 big winners, rises and falls - the Coke Nike business models, the stories of re-invention, re-focus and the impact of successful outsourcing and creating external partnerships to re-focus and re-energise a corporation. The rise and fall of the great business empires, the statistics on upward pressure of big deal outsourcing and partnering on share prices.
Examples of internal forces of decline, such as moribund culture, processes, - focusing on non core, spending capital and executive resource on back office investments when it is not what compnies should be focusing on. Examples of classic distractions and failing to focsu oin market changes and customer needs.
I need a quotation for both:
1. The research and collation of case study materials, examples etc.
2 The support to project manage and help build up the content and copy moving it from 50 pages to 150 pages once a body of case sudies, research, references and examples have been put together.
Other thoughts, suggestions and colllaborations gladly recieved and considered as this is the first time I am doing this process and not sure how it works and what the best way of formulating a brief for [url removed, login to view] would be.
