I would love to be able to divulge everything here but I really need an NDA / no-compete (no compete is only for the specific niche market I am pursuing). NDAs are lame and boring but necessity for this project... Sorry. In lieu of full disclosure I'll post what I can here.
WHAT I WANT TO BUILD
An online SaaS booking/scheduling platform with multiple user roles (like ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGERS->WORKERS->CLIENTS) where CLIENTS can independently schedule TOURS that are offered by ORGANIZATIONS based upon availability of WORKERS. There will be multiple forms for clients with a significant amount of data collected.
There are many role specific functionalities required (like ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGERS can CRUD WORKERS, etc...) but nothing that a well designed ACL cannot handle.
Additionally, there will be some e-commerce integration required (probably Braintree Payment Solutions)
WHERE THE PROJECT CURRENTLY STANDS
ORM- I have built an ORM that may- or may not :-/ - be perfect but it clearly speaks to the intended functionality.
Wireframes- I am working on the wireframes and they will accurately represent the desired functionality.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
I need references that can tell me that your programming skills are awesome and that you can deliver a well-scoped project on-time and on budget. Some examples of your work would be good too. Enthusiasm and problem solving skills are a must. This is a personal project for me and I need someone who knows how to be proactive- it's pretty much non-negotiable.
If you are a jedi master (or even a wannabe jedi master) with RoR and SaaS architecture then please submit a bid on this. If you are already 'sort of working on another project' then this job is not for you.
If you think that this job is a good fit for your skill-set please give an accurate bid. Do not low-ball (underbid) just to get the project. I realize that there are many unknowns at this point so take that into account when bidding. If you feel it is necessary, go a little higher on your bid. Just don't lowball...
If I don't find someone that I think is a good fit I will cancel the project. Cheers.
UPDATE- It was unclear from the description that I want to develop this project with Ruby on Rails (or possibly a PHP MVC framework if the right developer could convince me that it is the best way to go).
