I would like to have Terraria installed on one of my online Linux servers for my kids, their friends, and eventually a larger community of Terraria users. Normally Terraria functions on Windows servers, but mine are Linux. However, my research suggests that there is a Linux installation for the game.
When the installation is complete I would really appreciate a run-through on the admin features and capabilities. I am particularly interested in determining if there are advertising integration features to enable me to hire developers down the road.
IMPORTANT TO ALL BIDDERS:
An addition to the project includes the installation of MINECRAFT on a Linux server. In essence, I want BOTH Terraria AND Minecraft installed on a couple of my servers. Once installed I need to have a full run-through of the admin features and capabilities. I suppose my kids can help me with admin issues. However, if you have any insight they might be lacking I'm open to your ideas.
My virtual servers run on CentOS Linux x86 (I run two). From what I understand, I can run only one instance on each virtual server, but can install up to 16 virtual servers on a failover cluster. I am NOT highly technical in this area, so your ideas and insight would be appreciated. If I understand it correctly I could have multiple instances for multiple worlds, but would have to properly set up/manage memory issues. Again, ideas, insight, and expertise is invited and welcome.
