We are searching for a Shopify assistant to help us create a tax strategy, shipping strategy, as well as optimize our online images, configure apps, edit our theme, testing, and various smaller configurations. More information on the tasks and work below. Our orders are fulfilled in California by our partner. Some of the work will be communicating with them to effectively test and ensure the store is functioning correctly. This position has quite a bit of upside potential if the work is excellent. We would like to make this a full time position down the road with several other opportunities available.
It would be helpful if this person can communicate through voice.
One of the first things we want to do is to determine what sort of system we need to establish to include tax rates in our products. We have adjusted all of the products to include taxes in their pricing already.
The part we are worried about is determining if we should charge tax on products for countries outside of the US as their rates vary drastically. We also want a system that is easy to determine how much sales tax we owe when tax returns come around.
What we do know is that we want to include taxes for the US and if possible internationally.
Also, we don't mind getting some of your advice on this. Would you recommend including taxes outside of the US? What is the most effective way to do this? How can we keep this organized?
We have spent the past week researching and working on shipping. Our current situation is as follows. Our fulfillment center is based in California. We want to offer a free shipping rate or a flat rate option depending on cost.
The problems we are having with this is determining what we can expect to be charged on average for (non expedited) free shipping service to our customers. Should we offer free shipping just in the US and not internationally? What will the cost be on average that way we can work it into our margin? What will our costs be to offer a free shipping option internationally? What shipping carriers should we go with?
We would like to offer a free shipping rate world wide. As well as a flat rate expedited method to our customers.
The margin that we set aside for free shipping can just be put towards the expedited rate making it in a fact a discounted flat rate fee.

We would also prefer this person to have experience with ShipBob or some other type of fulfillment company to organize the logistics of [login to view URL] of the tasks will be communicating with Shipbob and our pre-order manufacturer, putting together a Fulfillment timeline, managing the timeline/process, and setting up the portal for fulfillment.
