I need a reliable SIP trunking solution running on Asterisk under Linux. At the moment I’m unsure whether the server already in place can be salvaged or if it will be cleaner to start from scratch, so the first step will be a quick audit of what’s there. From that point we can move straight into installing / re-installing Asterisk, pointing it at my chosen SIP trunk provider, and fine-tuning the dial-plan so inbound and outbound calls flow smoothly. Security hardening (fail2ban, TLS / SRTP where supported), codec optimisation for solid call quality, and basic call-flow features such as voicemail, IVR and call recording should all be factored in. I’ll need everything documented well enough that I can tweak extensions or add trunks later without starting over. Acceptance criteria • Asterisk running on Linux with the SIP trunk registered and passing both inbound and outbound calls. • Dial-plan, voicemail and any IVR or recording rules functioning as agreed. • Clear documentation of key configuration files, passwords stored separately, and a brief hand-off session so I understand what was done. If that scope is clear and achievable for you, let me know your timeline and any additional information you require to get started.

Hi, I can audit your current Linux/Asterisk setup, then configure or rebuild the SIP trunk environment so inbound and outbound calls work reliably. My approach will be to first review the existing server, Asterisk version, SIP provider details, network/firewall settings, current dial-plan, and security posture. Then I’ll configure the SIP trunk, extensions, routing rules, voicemail, IVR or recording as required. I’m comfortable with: * Linux server administration * Asterisk PBX setup * SIP trunk configuration * PJSIP/chan_sip troubleshooting * Inbound/outbound dial-plans * Voicemail and IVR setup * Call recording rules * Codec optimization * fail2ban and firewall hardening * TLS/SRTP where supported Deliverables: * Working Asterisk SIP trunk * Inbound and outbound call testing * Dial-plan configuration * Voicemail/IVR/recording setup if required * Security hardening * Codec/call-quality tuning * Key configuration documentation * Hand-off notes for adding extensions or trunks later I’ll focus on a stable, secure, well-documented setup that you can maintain without rebuilding everything from scratch. Best regards Ankit

I have been working with Asterisk and SIP trunking in production for over 20 years. I can audit your existing server, install or reinstall Asterisk cleanly, configure your SIP trunk with proper inbound and outbound routing, set up dialplans, voicemail, IVR, and call recording. I will harden security with fail2ban, TLS/SRTP, and optimize codecs. Everything documented so you can manage it independently. I have maintained 100+ Asterisk servers at carrier scale. Can start immediately.

Your Asterisk/SIP setup shouldn't require guesswork—I can audit the existing server first, tell you whether to fix or rebuild it, and get reliable inbound/outbound calling working. I’ve built and operated **APEX Connect by AIM**, a production voice/communications platform involving telephony integration, SIP-based call flows, real-time voice processing, call routing, concurrency, reliability, and production monitoring. I can handle: • Linux/Asterisk audit or clean installation • SIP trunk registration and configuration • Inbound/outbound dial plans • IVR, voicemail and call recording • Codec and call-quality optimisation • Fail2Ban, firewall, TLS/SRTP where supported • End-to-end call testing and troubleshooting • Documentation and handover I’ll start with the audit, identify the fastest reliable path, then implement and validate everything against your acceptance criteria. I can start immediately.

Hi, I am a Senior SIP/VoIP and Telecom Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Asterisk, SIP signaling, SIP trunks, RTP, Linux, Wireshark, SIPp, SBCs and VoIP troubleshooting. Your requirement is closely aligned with my experience. I can begin with a quick audit of your existing Linux/Asterisk server to determine whether the current installation and configuration can be safely reused or whether a clean installation would be the better option. From there, I can install/reconfigure Asterisk and integrate it with your selected SIP trunk provider. The implementation will cover SIP trunk registration, inbound/outbound calling, dial-plan configuration, extensions, voicemail, IVR and call recording, along with codec optimization and RTP/media troubleshooting to ensure reliable call quality. Security will also be addressed through Fail2ban, firewall/NAT review, secure SIP configuration, TLS/SRTP where supported, and protection against unauthorized SIP access. I can validate call flows using SIP traces and Wireshark, troubleshoot signaling or one-way/no-audio issues, and verify both inbound and outbound calls against your acceptance criteria. I will provide clear documentation covering the key Asterisk configuration files, SIP trunk settings, dial-plan structure, extensions, voicemail/IVR and procedures for adding future extensions or trunks. Sensitive credentials will be stored separ

I can begin with a focused audit of your existing Linux/Asterisk environment, then repair the current installation or rebuild it cleanly based on the findings. I have hands-on experience managing Asterisk/Issabel PBX systems, SIP trunks, inbound and outbound routes, IVR, voicemail, call recording, FXO/FXS channels, Grandstream systems, VPN connectivity, firewall rules, and SIP troubleshooting. I will configure and test the trunk, dial plan, codecs, fail2ban, and TLS/SRTP where supported. I will document the final setup and explain how to manage extensions and trunks. I suggest starting with a two-hour audit and configuration session, and I will confirm the remaining scope before using additional hours. Could you share the Linux distribution, Asterisk version, SIP provider, and whether the current server is accessible?

Hi, this project is a perfect match for my experience. I’ve spent 6+ years working with Asterisk, 3CX, FreeSWITCH, and Kamailio for enterprise clients in Latin America. My approach: 1. Audit your current server to decide whether to salvage or rebuild. 2. Install/reinstall Asterisk and configure it with your SIP trunk provider. 3. Fine-tune dial-plan for inbound/outbound calls, and set up voicemail, IVR, and call recording. 4. Secure the server with fail2ban, TLS/SRTP where supported, and iptables rules. 5. Optimize codecs for call quality and bandwidth. 6. Provide clear documentation (passwords stored separately) and a hand-off session so you can manage the system later. Why me? - I've managed VoIP for large enterprises (500+ extensions) with 99.9% uptime. - I've integrated carriers across multiple countries. - I deliver clean documentation and ongoing support. Timeline: 5–7 days, depending on audit. Let me know if you need any additional info. I'm ready to start.

I've spent 20+ years in Linux and telephony, including Asterisk SIP trunking from a clean install through carrier registration and routing, so getting a reliable trunk running is exactly my kind of job. A SIP trunk is won on it staying up and connecting calls cleanly: correct registration to your carrier, dial-plan routing that works both ways, and NAT and codec settings that do not drop audio. What I'd do: - Assess the current server, then either repair it or do a clean Asterisk install on Linux. - Configure the SIP trunk: carrier registration, inbound and outbound routing, codecs and NAT. - Test real calls both directions, with logging so issues are visible. - A short note on the config so you can maintain and extend it. You get a working SIP trunk that registers and passes calls reliably, documented so it is not a black box. One thing to confirm: who is the SIP carrier, and should I salvage the existing server or start clean? I can start right away.

Hello, I can audit the existing Linux/Asterisk environment first and determine whether it is safer to repair the current installation or rebuild it cleanly. My background is in Linux server administration, networking, VPNs, routing and network security, so I will approach the PBX as a production system rather than reinstalling blindly. The work can include: • Existing Asterisk/Linux audit and backup • Asterisk/PJSIP and SIP trunk configuration • Inbound and outbound call testing • NAT, RTP, firewall and codec troubleshooting • Dial-plan, voicemail and agreed IVR/recording • Fail2ban and security hardening • TLS/SRTP when supported by the SIP provider • Configuration documentation and hand-off Before making changes I will need the SIP provider details and access to the existing server. I can start with the audit immediately and proceed based on what we find. Regards, Jorge
