I experienced with various programming languages such as Python, Java, C, Ruby. In my undergraduate research, I developed a Business Intelligence Tool using Python and Django. The tool allows users to submit a template to define data and formats of the report. After that, the data will be queried and returned to users in excel files. About Me: I have an extensive experience of building python based machine learning and scientific computing applications. My experience includes webapps as well as backend systems including the use of most popular python based frameworks (Apache Spark, Django Recommends, Scikit-learn) that can be used to build recommender systems that are scaleable and accurate. Project Understanding: For this project more details are required on the kind and size of your data set. After understanding more about your data I can recommend the best approach (and framework) for building the system. However for something that works out of the box with a small data set and will still scale up to a very large system, my first hand recommendation would be to go with Apache Spark interfaced with a micoframework like Flask giving you a complete python based API for the recommender system. The timeline and scale will of course depend on the data.
